30.05.25 -- Chapter Two Completed

Completion: Chapter 2 is completely finished, roughly pegging the story at around 50% done

This brings about the end of the extended flashback, and so next chapter, we're jumping back to the present! At the risk of this aging like wine, I'm going to tentatively say that after this update, saves should be able to carry forward because I think I've made all the variables needed for the rest of the game. Stats have been slightly altered, because you can now choose MC's childhood personality near the start of Chapter 2, and there's now a trauma stat that's replaced a lot of the 'soft' personality changes.

So for now, I'm mostly looking for grammatical errors, and confusing/unclear passages. I think the code should mostly be okay, unless that stupid part about MC dressing down for the first time for dinner still happens, in which case, I don't know what to tell you. I've broken down that code a hundred times and can't find anything wrong with it.

But something I am a bit concerned about, mostly because of how tedious it is to test for it, is the final personality calculation at the end of Chapter 2. The stats will be printed on the screen after the 'End of Demo' button, and if you think the personality is off, let me know. I did kind of code that on tooth floss and straws.

Chapter 3 is probably going to be huge at this point, I'm estimating around 40-50k words by how much it needs to cover. I might break it up into two, but that's a problem for alter. I aim to have it done by the end of summer, but who knows? Other than that, thanks for playing 😌
