A short 20 000 interactive novella set in a collapsing empire, with the conflict inspired by the late Eastern Zhou, Qin, and early Han dynasties, and the setting of the Southern Song dynasty. The MC is a widowed princess consort of the ruling dynasty, and a vassal queen in her own right, but wields no power.

There are two 'romantic' interests:

Shàngguān Lóng (上官隆) -- the current King of Yuán, and MC's former betrothed. The leader of the rebellion against Xià, bright-eyed and iron-willed, and one year older than MC.

Chúnyú Xióng (淳于雄) -- the current Crown Prince of Xià, and has MC as his...charge. The current regent and leader of Xià as the Emperor lays ailing. sweet-mouthed and black-bellied, and three years older than MC.
